Before you visit
When visiting RACV Club, it's important to be considerate of your fellow members and guests.
Please be advised that filming within any area of the RACV Club, is strictly prohibited unless prior written authorisation has been obtained. Verbal approvals, irrespective of the authority of the individual granting them, are insufficient and will not be accepted.
Our guidelines are designed to ensure all members feel comfortable while at the Club. Please make sure your guests are familiar with these guidelines. We appreciate your cooperation.
Operation of the RACV Club is governed by the RACV Club by-laws. You can also read the membership terms and conditions.
Admission and guests
Your membership card provides access to the Club and its facilities, including the car park. It is a condition of entry that a member produce a current Club membership card. Management has the right to request your membership card at any time on Club premises.
It is important to swipe your card at the entrance to the City Club car park to receive Club member rates.
Membership cards are not transferable. A member must not lend to another person or permit another person to use the member's RACV Club Membership card to gain access to the Club premises or for any other purposes.
As a member, you can sponsor family and friends to stay at the Club as your guest, even when you are not in attendance. The booking must be made by the member on behalf of their guest. Guests will be charged the standard rate for accommodation.
On all other occasions a member must be in attendance and sign their guests into the Club.
Members are responsible for the behaviour of their guests.
Children at the Club
Children of any age are welcome in most areas of RACV Club properties as long as they are supervised by a parent or guardian. When bringing children to the Club please respect the rights and privileges of other members.
There are some restrictions to specific facilities.

City Club: Facilities are located in all disabled bathrooms on the Ground Level, and Levels 1, 2 and 17.
Healesville: A parents room is available for feeding and changing babies on Level 2, opposite the Members' Lounge.
Dress code and etiquette
RACV Club aims to provide a warm and friendly environment for members. We require a neat and tidy appearance at all times. Please check our dress code for specific areas before visiting.
General RACV Club venues
Members and guests (including children) must wear smart casual as a requirement of entry. We will use discretion in the case of young children.
If you observe another member or guest not upholding dress code, we ask you direct your feedback to a staff member and not directly engage with the individual. We aim to educate and not embarrass any individual. Members are responsible for ensuring their Guests are informed of, and abide by, the Club’s dress code. If a Member or Guest does not comply with the dress code, they may be discreetly requested to conclude proceedings and leave. If ever in doubt, please check with the team at the Front Desk or contact the Club Membership team.
Not acceptable
- Rubber thongs, worn footwear, ugg boots, moccasins
- Torn or ripped clothing
- Garments with inappropriate slogans
- Bare midriff, singlets, tank tops
- Tracksuit pants
- Beachwear, board shorts, sportswear and caps.
Members' Dining Room (City Club) and Banyalla (Healesville)
Members are expected to maintain a suitable standard in keeping with the dignity of the venue.
Members and guests must wear business/formal wear, such as:
- collared shirts
- pants and jackets
- elegant dress or skirt
- pant suit or tailored outfit.
Strictly no denim or sneakers allowed.
Fitness centre
When entering the fitness centre dressed in active wear, please arrive and leave through:
- Chancery Lane Foyer on Lower Ground Level (City Club)
- Lobby on Level 1 (Healesville Country Club & Resort).
Modest and safe athletic and swim attire must be worn in the Fitness and aquatics area respectively. Enclosed shoes are required at all times in the gym and during classes for safety and hygiene (apart from designated classes).
Healesville golf course
Collared shirt required, no denim allowed.
Smoking is not permitted on Club property.
While the use of mobile phones is allowed in all areas of the Club, we ask that members and guests show courtesy and mutual respect to others.
Please keep your phone on silent and avoid making or receive calls in these spaces:
- Library
- Level 2 of the Shared Workspace
- Members' Dining Room
- Billiards room
- Fitness centre
- Other group activity spaces.
Use of facilities and benefits
You cannot use the Club premises as your permanent place of business or business address. You cannot canvas for business, or in respect of any political or municipal election or insurance or assurance.
The following conduct is prohibited on Club premises:
- drunken or disorderly conduct
- gambling games of hazard and betting of any description, except as permitted pursuant to the Liquor Control Reform Act
- use of bad language or behaviour unbecoming a member
- inappropriate and/or unreasonable behaviour directed towards a staff member, fellow member or guest within the Club, including but not withstanding failure to show reasonable discretion by a staff member
- smoking
- use of a drug of dependence as defined by the Drugs, Poisons and Controlled Substances Act.
Assistance dogs are allowed within the Club venues and facilities.
Unfortunately we cannot cater for pets at RACV Club venues and facilities.
In consideration of other guests, presentations may not be made in Club dining areas.
Please inform staff if presentations are required so that alternative arrangements can be made in advance. Speeches and their contents are to remain private to members in attendance.
To visit a reciprocal club, you must make your own reservation and request a letter of introduction according to the Club's reciprocal arrangements.
When visiting a reciprocal club, you must comply with the rules and regulations of that club and settle your accounts when you check out.

RACV Club facilities and services are available to reciprocal club members to enjoy. Any discounts or benefits available to RACV Club Members are not available to reciprocal club members.
Accessible facilities
All areas of the Club are fitted with a lift or ramp.
Toilets are designed for accessibility with sufficient space to allow for walking aids and wheelchairs. Disabled toilets have push button access to automatically open doors.
At City Club, the main Bourke Street entrance has a special automatic door. To use this door simply swipe your member card. Alternatively, there is access via the car park and Chancery Lane with wide doors and ramps.
You can book an accessible accommodation room with wider entrance doors, handrails in the bathroom and lower coat hanger rails in the cupboard.
These rooms also have same level 'roll in' showers, handrails and a fold-down seat.
You can request toilet and shower chairs to be placed in room if needed. Please request this when making a reservation.
The fitness centre at City Club has 2 family change rooms with in-built shower chairs. The showers are 'roll in' with handrails and lowered sinks.
The pool at City Club has a hoist that can be used to help you enter and exit the pool. The hoist needs to have trained staff assist. We ask members to advise when they are planning to visit, so we can make sure staff are available to assist.
To use the hoist, call the fitness centre on 03 9944 8860.
Accessible seating arrangements can be made in all Club dining areas by request.
We have 15 accessible parking spots in the City Club car park. These spots are closest to the Club lift entry on each level.
Club members with accessible parking permits can access 12 complimentary parking spaces at City Club per year.

When staying at Healesville Country Club, you can reserve use of electric scooters or wheelchairs.

Club members must not disclose the personal information of other members (including their email addresses) to another party, without the express prior permission of that member.
